What is Meditation?
Meditation is a simple practice to remember ourselves. Re-member means to become whole again; body, mind, and heart. Learning how to pay attention, open up to awareness and cultivate a sense of humor is the basis of meditation practice.
In stillness, we extend a “friendly gesture” toward ourselves that allows us to connect to our basic goodness, which is who we truly are. Tuning into this way of being is how we can reduce or eliminate stress and dis-ease in our lives. A clear, calm, focused mind responds with wisdom and compassion to whatever comes.
